I must apologize to my faithful followers for the absence on Monday. (3/12/18) Every year during the transition from Winter to Spring I fall prey to bronchitis. Also each year I hope it doesn’t attack me. For the last ten year I haven’t been lucky and it has paid an annual visit.
In previous years I tried to push through it and keep moving on with life. This year I put my health first and pushed everything else to the back burner, including Monday’s blog post. So for those who look forward to what this crazy head has to spew forth each week, I’m sorry for the disappointment.
Within this same week I have also had a husband who is just as ill and having a harder time recovering, a couple head-splitting migraines and a hard attack of arthritis topped off with a threat of gout taking over my left big toe. Yep, it’s been a week!
The ginger drink I make for arthritis for work also works for bronchitis. It contains ginger steeped in boiled water, along with cinnamon, turmeric and cayenne pepper. Yes it tastes awful. Yes it really works.
Long story short, I’m on the way to recovery and I will be back next week, but this week I am taking care of me.
